Lunch with the Artist: Yayoi Kusama

Description

Add a little art and art history to your Saturdays! Bring a bagged lunch to WAC Studios to enjoy while listening to a short lecture about artist Yayoi Kusama by local artist Ellie Lloyd. After the lecture, Ellie will lead students through a hands-on art lesson inspired by Kusama and her iconic, colorful art.

About the Instructor: 

Ellie Lloyd has been teaching art in Windsor Public Schools for 8 years. Her love for art history has allowed her to craft creative lessons for Windsor’s students, and you can see their impressive work on display this Spring at the JFK Art Show. Ellie also makes her own work while she’s not teaching, featuring colorful brushstrokes and organic themes like cacti, flowers, and figures! Check out her work on Instagram @artworkbyellie_
