Children entering grades 3-5 will explore Windsor history in our hands-on history workshops! Start a fire, churn butter, make bricks, and explore ancient burying grounds with our team of talented educators!

Monday, August 5, Windsor’s First People. Who lived in Windsor first, and how did they live? Learn about the region’s Indigenous people by participating in activities of their daily lives.

Tuesday, August 6, Annie’s Home: Growing Up in Early Windsor. What was it like to be nine years old back in the day? Prepare food, churn butter, write with a quill pen, and more!

Wednesday, August 7, History Detectives. From archives to cemeteries, learn how historians solve historical mysteries and piece together the story of Windsor’s past.

Thursday, August 8, A Day in the Life of Primus Manumit, Windsor’s first Black Doctor. Learn about the lives of Windsor’s early Black residents and explore 18th-century science and medicine by exploring a doctor’s office, making a remedy, and more!

Friday, August 9, Bricks, Bales, and Barges: Making a Living in Windsor. Get your hands dirty and make some bricks, farm, and navigate Windsor’s locks to understand the many ways Windsor’s people worked and lived in the past.
