Windsor, CT – Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut proudly announces, The Crystal Ball: Spring Fling, scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Riverview, 10 Winslow Place, Weatogue, CT 06089. This premier gala serves as the organization's largest annual fundraiser, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting vital programs for people with disabilities and veterans, significantly improving the health and well-being of the community's most vulnerable members.
This year's event is particularly special as we welcome a very inspiring keynote speaker, Marc Fucarile, a symbol of resilience and advocate for the mobility-impaired community. Marc, at the age of 35, became a right leg above the knee amputee following the tragic events of the Boston Marathon Bombings on April 15th, 2013. Despite the immense challenges he faced, Marc's spirit and dedication have led him to become a prominent figure in advocating for inclusion, equity, and accessibility. As an adaptive sports enthusiast, completing 8 marathons, engaging in sled hockey, and mono skiing, Marc's journey from the Boston Marathon to today is nothing short of inspirational.
The Easterseals Crystal Ball: Spring Fling is attended by hundreds of corporate executives, the medical community, local, state, and national elected officials, and prominent members of the community. This signature event includes dinner, dancing live and silent auctions, inspiration, and community spirit. Attendees will enjoy a captivating program that includes Marc Fucarile's keynote address, highlighting the critical need for inclusion and equity for our disabled communities.
