Windsor Education Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

The Windsor Education Foundation would like to thank and congratulate the following newly elected board members: Shavonne Sanders, Nicole Jenkins, and Kayla Kelly.

Shavonne Sanders comes to WEF as an already active member of the Windsor community. She is a Human Resources Generalist for the CT Airport Authority located at Bradely International Airport and five General Aviation Airports across the state. Shavonne also serves on the Board for the Windsor Fife and Drum Corps.

Nicole Jenkins is a strategic business leader with extensive experience in healthcare, business development, strategic planning, relationship management, and organizational growth. She is currently Senior Contract Administrator with Health Alliance Plan of Michigan where she leads complex partnerships and contracting strategies.

Kayla Kelly earned her B.A. in Legal Studies through American University’s Politics, Policy, & Law Program, and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She has run a mutual aid organization supporting low-income and unhoused D.C. residents, held federal judicial internships in New York and Connecticut, and did clemency work with the ACLU’s national office.

WEF Board members commit to monthly board meetings and participation in WEF fundraisers and other activities including Grab Bag Bingo which will be held this year at L. P. Wilson on Friday, October 2nd.  These activities fund the WEF mission to offer grants to Windsor teachers so they can supplement the curriculum with their own creative projects.
